I still have 18 firms I haven't heard from. Should I assume they are all dings at this point?

Same dude. Over 3.6 with just 2. Hope some will trickle in tomorrow, but honestly I wish interviewing wasn't such a black box to me. Most ppl would say I'm sociable and normal in other contexts...

I've talked to 3L's about this. Callbacks will keep coming, even months later. As long as you haven't been dinged yet, you still have some chance to receive a callback eventually, however small that chance might be. This means that just because someone else already heard from your interviewer doesn't mean you should automatically assume you've been dinged.

So, the stats say the median person last year got 8 callbacks, but it's likely that she got, say, 2-4 of those callbacks days or even weeks after EIW. A friend of mine summered at a firm that extended a callback to her in mid-September.

Are we guaranteed to receive formal dings from the firms with which we had screeners, or can the radio silence extend into perpetuity?

I have my first cb tomorrow and just woke up with a bug bite on my lip and eyelid (to match the ones on my arms and legs I'd been able to hide during EIW). Help.

That blows :/ If you're female (or male too I suppose) you might be able to cover it up with makeup? I'd buy some type of ointment.

I still haven't seen anyone say they've heard from Wachtell, Greenberg Traurig, Freshfields, or Vinson & Elkins. So if anyone has heard from them, kindly post so I can give up hope.

I'm female - the lip one is hard because it'll look swollen no matter what (also I smile a lot in interviews and my smile is now a little lopsided). But I can hopefully disguise the eye one once the swelling goes down a little.

Good luck hearing back today, everyone!

Also no word from Freshfields.

I know of one person who got a callback from Wachtell, another who got a callback from Greenberg Traurig, and another who got one from Freshfields. Sorry : /

That's too bad about Freshfields (I'm bug bite girl, not the anon who originally asked). But hey, no ding means there is still a chance!

Has anyone heard from Weil (JA), Gibson Dunn (LD & MKH), or Debevoise (JH)? I haven't heard anything from them, which is weird, since I thought my interviews with all of them went super, super well.

My GPA is between a 3.4 and a 3.5 and somehow I have gotten about 14 callbacks so far, including several of OCI's listed 3.6+ firms. No idea how I got that many since I said some really stupid shit in my interviews. A few screeners felt like moments from TV infomercials where someone is completely fucking everything up in black and white. But Weil, Gibson Dunn, and Debevoise are killing me - I liked all of those a lot and really got along with my interviewers (or so I thought).

Above average looks, below average personality, so I round to a pretty average fellow.

I have a friend with 14 cbs from only 20 interviews. Smart, funny, and gorgeous. I wouldn't have been surprised if she'd gotten callbacks everywhere she interviewed.
