This is a dumb question But to answer it, yeah that makes sense if you want to work at those firms.Anonymous User wrote:I am spending my 2L SA at a V20 (corporate) in NYC. Does it make sense to apply for V5s next summer (I admit for pure prestige reasons/exit ops)? I have good stats but my school does not offer OCIs for 3Ls so I would apply directly to Hiring Managers. Thoughts? Thank you very much

For NYC firms, what's the usual timeline like for CB-->offer at this point?

Re: 3L OCI
I'm not really sure re: NYC since I'm in SF, but I've gotten some calls this month from firms I had CBs with in Sept. asking if I'm still interested. Seems to be a little bit more stretched out than 2L OCI.Anonymous User wrote:For NYC firms, what's the usual timeline like for CB-->offer at this point?

then I don't feel so bad at my T20 being dead either. I mean I gave up on big law a long time ago so I don't even care any more, but now even getting any job is hard....

You aren't a 3L yet. Just mass-mail come mid-July and see what happens.

Re: 3L OCI
How does the timeline for 3L OCI work?
I'm at a firm that likes to see an offer accepted on the spot at the end of the summer. How would one trade up to a different firm at a place like this? Verbally accept the offer on the spot, then renege on it later if another offer comes around?
