Good thing PLIP is going well.

Edit: I'm kind of teasing you. But I'm also kind of being serious. It would royally suck if you got screwed on OCI, and it could be a huge saving grace if PLIP came through.

Thanks. I don't mind teasing - that's 99% of this site. It's working now. Not sure the most helpful way to post the info but I will figure it out and post soon

Yes. And I'm probably dropping it

Have heard a lot of bad, not just on here - which may be enough by itself - but also from recent laterals

Do some forum searching on Winston and maybe check above the law.

Maybe it's better now, just saying their rep is not good

I understand the "fuck winston" sentiment but to pick it up at around 20ish is crazy

Is it anything more recent than no offers three years ago? Looks like theyve been 100% since.

Ya they are a hard floor 3.7, lots of wasted bids for sure.

I didn't bid on them, but the callback data OCS gave us shows a much lower floor.

Everyone wants that sweet bonus money.

ETA: But yes the data from OCS does not paint as dreary of a picture as a 3.7 floor.

Firms will dip below for things like diversity sometimes. What was median cb? And was it higher than clearly/stb?

This is just anecdotal and isn't exactly the answer that you're looking for, but the person they sent to do a screener last year had worked there for all of two months and couldn't even answer really basic questions about the firm. It was pretty weird to think they'd send such a recent lateral to conduct screeners and you can read into that what you will.

Mass mail firms you missed now, but make sure to stop by the hospitality suites too. I managed to get a couple of extra screeners by doing both. It actually can make a difference.

Edit: accidental anon. Sorry. d:)

I just found out that I put the wrong zip code in my resume. It has been submitted to all the firms at OCI. What do I do?

All I can think to do is correct it and bring a corrected version to OCI.

Also, I mass-mailed some firms with that resume. Should I send those firms an "updated" resume?

How wrong? My mom is a bit of a scatter brain and routinely gets the last two digits of my zip wrong, and as far as I know I've gotten all that mail. If it's one digit off, I'd just bring an updated one to OCI and not worry, since firms usually call with acceptances. Don't draw attention to a mistake. Others may disagree though.

A wrong zip code is clearly a mistake, rather than false information. I too wouldn't call attention to it. For anyone who notices the mistake, pointing it out will make you look honest and careless, instead of just careless. But for anyone who didn't notice the mistake, pointing it out will make you look careless.
Also, only about half of people would probably even be suspicious if the first digit is way off, e.g., your address is in Cali and the zip starts with a 1. (I bet a lot of people wouldn't even realize a major error.) A smaller subset of people will notice if the accidental zip code is not in the same state as your address. An even smaller subset might notice if they live in the neighborhood where you live.

My email address had northwestern misspelled via some typo on my part and no one noticed (including me) except one firm, but that wasn't until after my cb. So I vote let it ride #noregrats

Grabbed an open sign-up for a firm I had bid on (and didn't get), but didn't realize it was a different office until too late. Do I mention the office I bid on at all, or just do my best to pitch the office I signed up for? (0 ties.)

Hi everyone!

Good luck to all on OCI and congrats to those with callbacks/cb dinners.
