Not impressed with their recruiting team in general. The people they brought to their suite were standoffish, CB scheduling was messy, and a 4 week turnaround post-CB are all pretty weak.

FWIW - had a similar experience scheduling call back. Also, did they try to pull the trick where they had a surprise interviewer who they didn't tell you about before the CB. Not a change of schedule, but an additional person to throw you off.

Mcdermott has offers out already...I know people who got offers during the second week of OCI. They are waiting for those offers to expire so that they do not have too many offers outstanding....

Yeah, from what I've heard, McDermott gives out a lot of callbacks even though their summer class is relatively small.

ML had probably made another offer to someone from another school too. Hopefully...they don't accept? Lol

If a firm with a small sa class calls you to confirm your interest in the firm and asks if you have any outstanding offers a few weeks after your cb, good sign you're about to get an offer? Or more likely just a formality?

Did a CB in a secondary market on August 24th. At the time, they said they would get in touch with me shortly after they had interviewed all their candidates, the last of which was scheduled for September 3rd. Can I / should I email their recruiter letting them know I'm still interested / asking where they are in the decision process? Or will this make me look bad?

FWIW, I am genuinely very interested in this particular firm.

If firms have Yelp pages this would be a very helpful review

I had a similarly awful experience with the McDermott recruiting team last year. They don't seem to know what they're doing over there.

That McDermott rug is easily worth 4 stars on its own.

A friendly reminder that certain firms do have maybe/waitlist piles, so if you have an offer that you truly have no interest in, better to send that difficult "no" email earlier so that a spot could possibly go to a classmate. Not always going to be the case but it sometimes happens.

I know multiple people just sitting on offers right now which is frustrating for all of us on waitlists :(

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
