Dickinson Wright said they wouldn't be able to get back to me for a CB, 2-4 weeks after my screener. My screener was a week after Michigan's OCI . . .

anyone get total radio silence after their Schiff Hardin (Chicago) CB?
I'm assuming it's a no but not sure what to make of the fact that I have heard nothing from Schiff!

With CBs and offers from OCI essentially over, might be a good time to get a sense of how we did as a class? or at least on TLS?Anonymous User wrote:can we get a status poll going?
i.e.
Do you have a job from OCI?
Are you still intervieweing with OCI firms?
Are you getting no bites from OCI firms?
maybe try to get a vague, unsubstantiated sense of how mich did this year

Re: Michigan OCI 2015
I interviewed for Chicago, had 19 OCIs, 6 callbacks and I did 5 of those. Of those 5, I have 3 offers and still waiting on the other 2. GPA 3.68.

I interviewed in a couple cities, with strong grades. Had almost 30 screeners, 10+ callbacks, and ~5 offers.

How do you have ~5 offers? That is a definite calculation; either you have 5 or you do not.

Do people really need anonymous validation this badly? This is useless data.
More importantly, I'm interested in how many people have yet to generate offers. I know of two, but I'm sure there are more. I literally just got a CB on Tuesday from mailing, so things are still developing for some.

I'm just here to pay it forward. This sort of data from last year's thread was very helpful in judging how aggressively I could bid certain markets. If I saw a person whose stats/background was similar to mine, it was another indicator for what I should do. Definitely not useless, and I doubt people here really care about bragging rights from anons haha.Anonymous User wrote:Do people really need anonymous validation this badly? This is useless data.

But you're right on that hearing from those who haven't heard back would also be helpful.

Okay. Fair enough. I just noticed that the first two people to contribute didn't even post GPA, and the third was top 20%/NYC bidding (obviously should do well).Anonymous User wrote:I'm just here to pay it forward. What I'm most curious about is how median/slightly-below-median people do. That's the true test of whether our smaller class sizes are working. Unfortunately we have to wait a couple of years for offish 509 data.

Know of at least one person with callbacks yet to happen (and without offers). Secondary market - slow moving.

I have heard of that reputation before, but there's no shame in that. One offer is better than none, and getting an offer from any Big Law firm is a major accomplishment. Haters gonna hate.Anonymous User wrote:09042014 wrote:Schulte is where people with no other offers go.

Re: Michigan OCI 2015
GPA: 3.1
WE: None (K-JD, basketweaving-type major)
Journal: Secondary
IP Background: None
Markets: NYC and Connecticut (home state)
Screeners: 17 at OCI, 4 before OCI, 3 after OCI through mass-mailing/networking/hospitality suites
CB invites: 2 before OCI, 4 from OCI
CBs accepted: 3 from OCI
Offers: 3 (all NYC); still waiting to hear back from others but already made my decision
I'm posting this to give people below median some hope. Big Law is still doable!

Re: Michigan OCI 2015
GPA: 3.62
WE: 4 years (with grad school)
Journal: Secondary
IP Background: Lots of soft IP
Markets: NYC and a few other major markets
Screeners: 3 before OCI (from hometown), 21 at OCI
CB invites: 3 before OCI, 10 from OCI
CBs accepted: 2 before OCI, 6 from OCI
Offers: 1 from before OCI, 2 from OCI
Note: I had extremely specific things I was looking for in law firms/work and was very open about that during my interviews. I am certain (and happy) that it turned some firms away. Could have very likely gotten more offers if I would have downplayed my goals (but, again, turned out for the best).

No. No legal experience before 1L summer, but I had other internships (non-profit & political). No salaried work experience ever, just part-time minimum wage jobs that I didn't put on my resume.Anonymous User wrote:Any internship/paralegal experience during college or summers?
