Anyone heard back from LA/SF firms today? Are Sidley and Latham still the only LA firms where there's been movement? Really happy I threw some NY firms into my bidlist at the last minute

Does anyone know whether it's appropriate to submit a receipt for airplane wi-fi?

Re: Michigan OCI 2015
It's hard for me to imagine they would care - I know hotel internet is kosher, and if they're already paying over $1000 for your flight (as mine was)... But I guess it isn't a "necessity" like hotel Internet might be.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know whether it's appropriate to submit a receipt for airplane wi-fi?

But on the other hand, who cares? A firm isn't going to care about the wifi reimbursement and it's not going to help to email the interviewer, but it's not going to damn you either.Anonymous User wrote:1) yes it's tacky to send that email

Jones Day NY CBs went out last week. Rejections take longer to get out, usually.Anonymous User wrote:CBs from Hughes Hubbard (NY), Baker Botts (NY), Morgan Lewis (NY), Nixon Peabody (NY), Jones Day (NY)?

Re: Michigan OCI 2015
For those of you who are not getting CBs, remember that the key is to stay positive and keep at it. There were people last year who ended up at some of the most respected firms in the country after striking out at OCI. Broaden your search and try to use any connections you have.
No one gains anything from being rude to each other on here. Represent Michigan well.
Also, it's odd to bill a firm for in flight wifi. There's no real reason you need access to it. But I would hold off on sending in for reimbursement until after you get an offer or not to avoid any impact.

Re: Michigan OCI 2015
One issue I am running into with mass-mailing/trying to make connections post-OCI is that the substantial majority of good firms in areas I have ties to already came to OCI. Is it kosher or effective to contact firms who came to OCI but that I did not bid on?Anonymous User wrote:For those of you who are not getting CBs, remember that the key is to stay positive and keep at it.
