Is the maximum number of interviews limited to 10? In that case, is it ever wise to decline a preselect interview at a firm I have little interest in, and hope I get an alternate spot at a firm I have more interest in?

To take it a step further, should I just save a spot for the lottery in the hope that I get one of my top bids?

I accepted more than 10 preselects and the system let me do that. Will I have to cut two of them at some point?

Based on old threads, it seems like there is indeed an interview limit (maximum of 10).

I already accepted 10 interviews and have some that I was considering accepting, especially firms that released pre-selects later. Does anyone know if I could withdraw my accepted pre-selects? I wish they told this to us in the email.

Anyone know if you can turn a pre-select into a separate interview? In the area, but will be unable to attend BADCF.

ETA: will no longer be in town at the time

How can you tell its for CCBA versus BADF? I'm in both as well.

According to the BADCF organizer:

- Students are limited to a maximum of 10 interviews.
- Interview schedules are determined by algorithm, based on the interviews you have accepted.
- If you accepted more than 10 interviews, I imagine you must choose one of the two interviews allocated to the same slot, so you are better off accepting only 10 interviews, as opposed to having to choose between 2 interviews that you really wanted.

So I guess Drinker Biddle is flaking out again this year.

When does the lottery happen? When is the final deadline to confirm lottery interviews?
I need to know if I'm going to this so I can make travel arrangements

The table on the first page of this thread says lottery runs on Tue 7/7 but I'm not sure about when the results come out or a deadline to accept any invitations.

I wonder if alternate spots opening up on Wed 7/8 right after the lottery means that alternates will only be able to pick up interviews turned down by preselected students and not by lottery students, at least at first.

In past years (2013 & 2014) it looks like lottery and scheduling happened around 10am-10:30am PST.

Anyone see any movement? For me, the slots haven't fluctuated and nothing's changed. C'mon BADCF.

Do we know how the lottery works? As in, is there a min v. max number of interviews each person gets? And yes, I don't see any changes here yet.

The e-mail they sent out says that the Lottery process will be activated on July 7th. Most likely we'll find out about lottery selections on the 8th.

"IF YOU WERE NOT CHOSEN TO INTERVIEW BY AN EMPLOYER:

Please do not be discouraged. There were over 500 highly qualified students who registered to participate in the Bay Area Diversity Career Fair this year. Due to a limited number of interview spots available, we were unable to offer you an opportunity to meet with the employers you expressed an interest in. Please also note that you may receive interviews via the lottery selection, which accounts for 25% of each employer schedule. The lottery process will be activated on Tuesday, July 7"

I have some interview with firms at the BADCF that say no multiple interviews. However, those firms do say no multiples on my school's EIP symplicity. Does this mean that if I interview with them at BACDF I won't be able to interview with them at the law school's EIP? If so, should I cancel those interview?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
