those that were rejected, did your rejections specify between the Honors Program generally and the Solicitor General's Fellowship?

Yeah, it was them. She said the person she spoke to "seemed really interested" in me so she was as confused as I am by the rejection, especially since I have worked at the AG's office and had some contacts/references there who were supportive. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I only applied to the AG HP, but if it helps, the rejection email subject read, "California Attorney General's Honors Program" and the email begins with "Thank you for applying to the California Attorney General's Honors Program. "

Thanks for the heads up. Curious if anyone got rejected for or an interview with the sg gig.

anyone have a sense of what the caseload looks like for DAGs in the criminal division? for example, what % are direct appeals v. post-conviction?

Looking at last year's thread, it doesn't appear as though anyone commented on when they heard back from the SG program specifically. I still haven't heard anything.

I got an interview via email last week. Appears as though its the same interview for both the AG and SG.

Did your email mention both programs? Mine just said this:

I am extending to you an invitation to interview for the Attorney General’s Honors Program. The Honors Program will be holding interviews in the Attorney General’s San Francisco office on Monday, November 30, 2015. Please let me know if you are available on that date.

My email did not mention the SG program, but I followed up by email to ask.

not a direct response, really, but might be helpful. i interviewed this week. was told i'd hear back in a month. doesn't sound like this is moving very quickly. maybe they've identified their top choices (based on paper) and they're interviewing them first. then, if they don't meet their hiring goals from that population, they'll move to the group that hasn't heard anything yet?

presumably direct appeals v. collateral attacks? (habeas/IAC)

I see! From what I saw, direct appeals was the bulk of it.

I heard the same about the timeline, so just waiting now. The website indicated that there would be 6 to 10 hires; has anyone heard anything about whether it might be on the lower or higher side of that range? Also, we still don't know which divisions/sections will actually be staffed, right?

I'd be curious in ppl's grades, school, and background to learn what's competitive for this program. Especially anyone that got an interview.

relatively on-topic question: is it really feasible to make $50k in SF?
