Does that include your fellow SAs?Desert Fox wrote:I think I'm like 1-2 people away now.
No, my class who accepted their offers are still totally intact. But 4 years+ are dropping like flies. Even the class one year ahead is like 40% depleted.rpupkin wrote:Does that include your fellow SAs?Desert Fox wrote:I think I'm like 1-2 people away now.
What ratio of the departed would you say was volitional vs. forced-out?Desert Fox wrote:Even the class one year ahead is like 40% depleted.rpupkin wrote:Does that include your fellow SAs?Desert Fox wrote:I think I'm like 1-2 people away now.
How much longer are you gonna hold out?Desert Fox wrote:No, my class who accepted their offers are still totally intact. But 4 years+ are dropping like flies. as long as I can. With the new bonus structure each year is huge pay raise, and my group will actually let me bill 2000 a year since its a bunch of clean cut midwestern big 10 grads. DC biglaw is like biglaw with training wheels and it still really sucks. I can't understand how NYC bros do it.bjsesq wrote:How much longer are you gonna hold out?Desert Fox wrote:No, my class who accepted their offers are still totally intact. Of course the Partners will notice that they no longer have to pay $195,000 a year for someone to search TLS all day.911 crisis actor wrote:DF when you leave do you think anybody at your firm will notice?

3rd years? probably 100% volitional. Hell probably over 100% because some who want out can't get out.TheOnePercent wrote:What ratio of the departed would you say was volitional vs. forced-out?Desert Fox wrote:Even the class one year ahead is like 40% depleted.rpupkin wrote:Does that include your fellow SAs?Desert Fox wrote:I think I'm like 1-2 people away now.
I feel like people would say if they got told to GTFO, right? Warn their friends (or at least people they can tolerate that pass as work friends)? Who cares about saving face when you're already out the door?Desert Fox wrote: 3rd years? probably 100% volitional. Hell probably over 100% because some who want out can't get out.
After that it is incredibly hard to tell. I know at least 3 midlevels/seniors got stealthed because their boss parnter hasn't brought in a case in years. But the thing is, you don't really know why people leave. They certainly don't tell you. You only know when's forced out if the person has no jerb when they leave.
lol do you even work in biglaw?KidStuddi wrote:I feel like people would say if they got told to GTFO, right? Warn their friends (or at least people they can tolerate that pass as work friends)?
