Transfer From Midlaw to Biglaw?

Hi all, don't want to out myself, but currently a second-year at a "biglaw" firm in a secondary market (~200 lawyers, pays market). I was wondering if anyone had any experience transferring to a V50 firm? Is this experience viewed the same (or similar to) a V50 job? Or does working at a big firm in a smaller market count against you?

Thanks in advance.

(Feel free to mention advantages/disadvantages of switching, but I'm mainly concerned with how easy/hard it will be)

Tagging because I'm interested in the same question. I'm a junior at a 200-lawyer regional firm. Don't care about going biglaw necessarily or a V50 or whatever, but I want to go home (home = different region).

Ehhh kind of depends, right? Like there are regional firms of that size that basically do a mixture of biglaw (local counsel for Fortune 50s) and shitlaw (insurance/med mal defense) that I'd have trouble calling "biglaw" in remotely the sense that word is typically used.

Def not NYC market, but that region's market, absolutely.

When someone says "pays market" I assume they mean at least that it starts at 160

OP here, sorry for the confusion, DELG you were right, but I was ambiguous; it pays market for the region (which is roughly 20% below market), ~200 lawyers in my office, with a handful of offices around the region
