Williams & Connolly Drop

W & C went from #1 to #10 in Vault's Firm Culture rankings. With the qualifier that I recognize that this ranking, like many Vault rankings, is likely meaningless, I am wondering if anyone has insight as to why W & C would have dropped 10 spots in 1 year.

I recognize that there were several shake-ups in that category, so maybe they changed the methodology a little, but no other firm dropped even close to 10 spots.

Any insight? Has there been some sort of change in policy that led to a less desirable work environment?

I'm pretty sure a few vote can really gank the scores. I work at one of these V5 of culture firms and I sincerely doubt it is accurate. My firm just politely coerces everyone to take these surveys.

#1 has a 9/10. Number #25 has an 8.5/10. These surveys aren't really valid in any way.

I gotta think that the group of people who can get offers at W&C and the group who gives a shit about these rankings has to be really small.

Agreed. These rankings are utterly useless and shouldn't factor into anything
