I'm pretty sure I'm not the one who is acting paranoid here, Brut.Brut wrote:you're great jason
you've showed everyone that you know how to drop an argument when it has clearly ended
it definitely does not look desperate, and i look forward to my new friendship with you
eta: ok just saw that you took my post as a weird threat, that's not paranoid at all
but actually it meant exactly what it said
in the event that you knew me personally, which i thought you might, i wouldn't go blurting it out on the board. in other words, it would stay in PM
Why did you accuse me of digging through your posts? What did I post that was so horrible?
I'll ask you what I asked in PM:
Was it the aspie line? Because that's just pretty obvious/wouldn't be something that someone would need to dig for.
Was it the meme from another website?
What was it?

they've cut class sizes a fair bit over the past few years, so assuming they're not just making up the difference with transfers, i'd imagine there will be an uptick next year or the year after
but yeah i'm a little surprised at the low number too

I don't trust any ranking that doesn't have UT firmly entrenched in the T15 so I'm gonna sit this one outcannibal ox wrote:BigZuck call in post.

Berkeley is probably more into public sector or allegedly they have this weird grading system that firms don't like..

yeah, there's definitely some self selection happeningHalfStudent wrote:Berkeley is probably more into public sector or allegedly they have this weird grading system that firms don't like..
i know some posters are skeptical about drawing conclusions from gov't/pi placement alone, due to school funding
but once you dig into the data a little, you can see which schools are gaming the numbers
berk 2010
4 long term school funded
17.5% long term gov't/pi
berk 2013
26 long term school funded
20.9% long term full time gov't/pi
uva 2010
1 long term school funded
11.8% long term gov't/pi lt
uva 2013
59 long term school funded
20.9% long term full time gov't pi

We also have to wait for the full numbers. WUSTL for instance jumps up like 10% in "biglaw," so we'll see what happens with Michigan, Berkeley, etc.

yea my (completely unsubstantiated) intuition is that schools in smaller markets are going to see more of a difference
after all, the smallest nlj250 firm by attorney headcount has 160, compared to the 101+ cut-off we usually use for bl+fc

Despite this, WUSTL seems like it got Pwned more than usual. I really thought the smaller class in 2014 would have an easier go at it. Wait until 2015?scottidsntknow wrote:We also have to wait for the full numbers. WUSTL for instance jumps up like 10% in "biglaw," so we'll see what happens with Michigan, Berkeley, etc.
Also, GeorgeTTTown, with its insane COL and class size--and no scholarships--has to be at trap status at this point. There is no T14.

Excellent post. Do you say that in the mirror each time you remember that you went to WUSTL and ended up severely underemployed?JCougar wrote:Despite this, WUSTL seems like it got Pwned more than usual.
