T14 3L graduating jobless- when to start panicking?
T14 3L here. My grades are almost near top third in my class but still remain jobless. Can any1 share similar stories if and when they got a job during 3L, and when would be the moment to start panicking? I am also near the point of panic, but am still holding out hope.

What school?
Was your GPA always above median or did you recently bring it up?
Are you a transfer?

Top 1/3? You will get a job. So don't panic.
Do you have a strategy? An area of focus? I would start with that.

Not really just sending my resume and transcripts out like wild fire at random hoping someone will bite.minnbills wrote:Top 1/3? You will get a job. So don't panic.

When you say a job, do you mean any job? Or do you mean a decent paying job (I.e. One paying 100k+)

Is there anyone you can ask/beg for a job or a lead? In my experience, blindly sending out resumes is a pretty worthless pursuit.Anonymous User wrote:Not really just sending my resume and transcripts out like wild fire at random hoping someone will bite.minnbills wrote:Top 1/3? What happened with your SA?
FWIW: If the OP has a typical T14 tuition debt obligation, s/he will likely need $125k (minimum) to wipe away the debt within 5 years.

Lol 1) that is an absurdly fast time table to put on oneself for paying off student loan debt--even if it is ideal. 2) There are these jobs called public sector positions that allow other options.bballbrett5 wrote:Is there anyone you can ask/beg for a job or a lead? OP you can and should definitely end up with a job. Really you should already have one. You are doing something wrong. Whether that be poor interview skills, typos on your resume, being too picky about where you work, just not applying enough or whatever the case may be you are doing something incorrectly. Have a neutral third party analyze what you've done up until this point and go from there.
