Keep interviewing for law clerk job after accepting

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Jan 20, 2015 10:19 pm

So just accepted a really extreme take it or leave it law clerk job offer for **ty pay. I have a few more interviews that might end up paying more, but, not sure of the ethics/repercussions of quitting at a certain point and taking something else up, or still interviewing when the semester is about to start.
Part of me wants to just get this out of the way and focus fully on jobs(last semester 3L here). The other part of me is fiending for a few more bucks an hour. What to do?

sorry if it wasnt clear. i meant a job in the private sector, being a legal intern for money so they call you "law clerk".

Oh. Unless you have a resume history of jumping ship quickly all the time, I really don't think anyone should give a shit about loyalty to private sector employers ITDAA. Any of them will screw you over in a heartbeat if they decide the bottom line demands it.

I seriously can't imagine an employer fucking you on your bar affidavit. I really can't. That would be an absurd level of pettiness. I had an ex girlfriend fuck me on mine, but that bitch was hella crazy.

IDK shit about the bar affidavit, but there's nothing remotely unethical about leaving a private sector job because you got a better one.

Also, if you haven't started working there by the time you accept another job and renege on the acceptance, then you wouldn't have to report it on your bar app anyway because you never actually worked there.
