My understanding is that things aren't too busy in the office right now. What should I do? Just be thankful for the down time and wait for things to pick up? Or go around asking for work?
I have usually done the following:

week 1 - enjoy the down time and do nothing
week 2 - try to find interesting work or reach out to partners that you want to work with
week 3 - start asking around for work from anyone
