How do you figure? They aren't more well regarded than DPW or Simpson in the city.

If anything I think homegrown partners % would boost firms like Cravath and S&C that pull more exclusively from their own ranks.

Wachtell, Cravath, and SullCrom tops the reputation survey. Big surprise.

You seem to have a bizarre infatuation with WLRK, CSM, and S&C.

what's ultimately the most hilarious thing about this thread and most threads about this in TLS is that, at the end of the day, TLSers believe these kinds of rankings are arbitrary and bullshit because they don't correspond with their own personal rankings of firms. The problem is that those rankings are also arbitrary and bullshit. Why is Vault not credible, you ask? "Oh well because Skadden is ranked higher than S&C, duh!" Why is Skadden supposed to be less prestigious than S&C? "They take numerous people AT MEDIAN (the sacrilege!) from my T5." And why exactly is that problematic? Why is it problematic that a law firm takes more inept lawyers who will all need extensive training from one segment of a top law school than from another segment?

where skadden and sullcrom fall on any given year is one of the lightest criticisms one might level against the vault rankings

moreover from a process/methodology perspective its a mess, regardless of how we might judge the outcome

i know this is going to sound "deep," but the process/methodology for deciding what's a good process/methodology is also a mess. thats why this is all bullshit.

And for the sole purpose of further S&C trolling ITT.
if you extended the chart to mid-1995, many firms would move around

Vault's website only had the data readily available back to 2007, and I wasn't about to waste any more time than I already had making a useless preftige chart. :P
Preftige comparison
