Which would be a better internship for aspiring AUSA?

Postby Anonymous User » Mon Sep 29, 2014 1:23 pm

I am thinking about applying for a summer internship with either my state AG's office, or a local district attorney's office. Although an internship with an AUSA office would be ideal, it is not possible for me this summer.

The AG internship deals with civil stuff, and there's probably very little chance I would get court experience. The DA internship would allow me to get court experience and would deal with criminal stuff. The DA internship would seem to be more practical, but the AG internship just seems pretty cool. Could I go wrong with either, or would a DA internship look much better to a person making AUSA hiring decisions?

Neither one will make much difference in terms of getting eventually hired as an AUSA.

This. But if I had to pick one, I'd say DA.
