Willkie also put me in the paramount, which IMO was dark, grungy, and felt like a prison.

In my experience, doesn't get much better for hotels picked by any firm (Would you believe that it's $400 per night?) Welcome to BigLaw.

Do you have to stay at a hotel they picked? Or can you stay at any hotel - that's not too expensive - and just charge it to the firm later?

You could probably pick any other hotel that's <$200/night and charge them for it. Personally, I like the Ritz.

Never. You're flying blind and it's gloriously terrifying.

Just relax. Nobody's expecting you to go into details about themselves or their work. It's more to see if you'll be the kind of person they'll tolerate during those long hours. Personally, I think the best way to torpedo yourself is to try to kiss ass.

yes. also, just like pretty much every other hotel in the world, the hotel you will be staying in will hold your bag for the day and you can go back and pick it up.

Did you guys bring writing samples, transcripts, resumes? If so how many (since we don't know how many interviewers we will have)?

For those who have CBs coming up, what should we be prepared for. Have had some that are behavioral and others just conversations.

Extremely casual. My Willkie CBs were the closest thing I had to ordinary, chill conversations throughout this entire process. They really are testing for personality and amiability.

NALP says Willkie covers "reimbursement for accommodations when taking bar exam."

Anyone know what that means? Is it a stipend or salary advance?

Received same-day offer. Really loved my visit, and really don't won't to go to my V10 interview next week. Does the actual offer come by mail or email and how quickly?

Don't over-think it. Make the hotel reservation, stay there, and hand Recruiting the receipt for reimbursement. I think that most of the NYC firms do it.

About 2 weeks via snail mail It's a super-thin letter, very much like a ding letter.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
