Perhaps someone else can help more, but it seems you have a good mix of reaches, targets, and "safeties" (obviously the last doesn't exist, but if you don't get them it won't be because of your grades). The only two that I'm pretty confident are out of reach would be Cravath and Sullivan. I think Latham, Kirkland, Simpson, and Skadden are good reaches/targets.

It seems like the 20 slot firms shouldn't be so late in the teens. Winston/McDermott can probably move down a bit. Skaddn is probably a bit late.

OP here, appreciate the input!

i'm still going to move around some of the bids, but curious if you guys think there aren't too many "reach" firms on the list especially in the top 10? DIdn't know whether my grades should allow me to pack that top 10 with the Chicago elite firms?

Thanks again

This. Pretty obviously NU. That being said, the list is pretty solid. If you are serious about splitting your bids/interviews between NY and Chi, though, you should note that most of your NY bids are not going to come through. Perhaps think about moving the Simpsons/Proskauers/Cahills of the world up a little further, because it is unlikely you will get them that low. Even Weil, with 60, could be a stretch where you have it. So it's really up to you about whether Chi is ultimately the path you want to take, and maybe sneak in 1-3 NY interviews, or if you want more of a 50/50 split between the markets.
