My t14 has a policy that you can spend your 3L at a different law school if your spouse has to be in a certain location for work and you're moving to be with your spouse. You'd have to check what your school's policy is, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have a similar rule.

I'm not sure why this would affect your offer chances at firm A, since presumably you would be offered or no offered before you start your third year.
