T6 AA Male Below Median - V10 Chances?

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Jun 03, 2014 9:02 pm

Hi all, I haven't seen this topic after a quick search so if it's been discussed with substantial depth feel free to move, mods. Title pretty much says it all. Are there any chances of me landing a job at a V10 firm that cares less about grades, such as Weil or K&E? Also, what about firms such as Debevoise and Paul Weiss? Any anecdotes and all insight are welcome. Thanks for the help!

If this isn't race baiting, and I assume it is, stop focusing on prestige and just focus on getting employed. Below median T6 doesn't guarantee shit.

I had a couple of V10s and plenty of V20s not too far off from your stats (If you aren't too far below median). You'll need other things to break for you but it is certainly doable.

CSM and S&C have multiple people under median at CCN that are diverse.

I'd focus on big class sizes rather than perceived selectivity. Weil has very few callbacks compared to S&C--who called back somewhere between 1/8-1/4 of most CCN classes last year.

This is either the best troll or the worst arbitrary vault whoring I've seen in a long time.

Ok, guys. Thanks for the helpful (and not so helpful advice)! I asked because I do have genuine reasons for listing the firms I did and the 2/3Ls I asked about this didn't really have much anecdotal advice. I have already received advice on my chances for most of the other firms I will hope to interview with through the lottery process. I am not obsessed with vault rankings, if that's how it's coming off; just curious about my chances. Again, thanks for the help!
