legal assistant or BIG FED fellowship

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Apr 11, 2014 5:43 pm

Not sure which option I should take in the 1-2 years I have before i would attend law school. I want to go to law school but I'm not entirely sold on the idea. Both jobs would pay the same, basically, but are appealing for different reasons.

About me
Oxbridge Masters degree - named scholarship
Bigstate UG - 3.9 GPA
No LSAT yet but should be around 170
Goals are to clerk/academia/partner/$$$ or to do "important" work for the fed government.

Legal Assistant
-V50 firm
-Could see what being a lawyer is actually like
-More $

BIGFED Fellowship
9-months in agency that relates to what I studied in school. Was told it's very difficult to get a job after in same agency.
More prestigious option
Strictly 9-5, but still make solid money
