Top 10% DNC 1L Summer question

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Feb 25, 2014 1:47 am

Would it look bad at OCI if I research for a Prof and take classes this summer? I feel like they might think I could have gotten a better job with my grades and the fact that I didn't means there's something wrong with me.
Ftr, I had interviews for a couple of firms and struck out at all of them. I have an interview for a judge and some judge applications out there and will take that if offered (obviously). But in the meantime I have a professor offering a research position and do not necessarily want to turn that down to keep chasing the dream and end up with something worse...

doesn't matter what you do, just make it legal and something you can talk about for 2 minutes in an interview. doing research is perfectly fine and can help you with references for clerkships or networking with firms if it is a well-connected professor.
