My interview lasted the full 2-hours.
How many people were on your panel?

Geez. Mine lasted maybe 40 minutes. I found the questions relatively challenging and introspective. Hardly any questions directed toward my resume/skills. I would say around 85% of the interview was character/personality-oriented.

The Federal Government cannot contact your references without your express permission. You will first receive a Tentative Offer, at which point they will reach out to your references.

I had an interview this week, and the last date for one was on 9/15. I was told the panel would start the decision-making process at the end of this week. My guess is that it won't be until next week at the earliest before anything happens. I was told "before the end of the month." My interview was 30 minutes, but I was a second-timer.

My email also said 9/11. I wonder why/when they changed it to the 15th.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote: Thank you for the update! My email said interviews only went until September 11th.

(I was the one who interviewed last week.) I am now curious as well on the date change. I was notified pretty late in the process that I was up for an interview, so they might have added or saved spots for second timers at the end. I want to see how soon they start actually hiring people.

I also interviewed in January (made it to the final round) but this time my interview was in the first week, and my email said September 11th. Not sure what the date change was for. I spoke to a current examiner over the weekend, and to his knowledge, no offers had gone out yet. He said things might start moving this week. I still haven't heard anything though.Anonymous User wrote:(I was the one who interviewed last week.) I am now curious as well on the date change. When I got my interview time, it was outside the date period specified. I received a second email moments later informing me that the time was correct, but that the original interview period had been extended.

Got contacted today and received a soft offer - have to contact the references first and I'll get an official offer after that. Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know how long it takes them to contact everyone? Meaning when should we realize that we aren't getting an offer?

I got my call at 2:30. It sounded like it was one of the first ones because he said that he had 20 phone calls to make.

Thanks for the response! Wonder how long those phone calls last. Maybe there's still hope?

I received the same call. Is anyone uneasy about having them speak to your current supervisor before having a bona fide offer?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
