TIME SENSITIVE: Canceling a CB?

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Jan 29, 2014 4:27 pm

How short notice is too short? 1L here, have 2 CBs tomorrow and one on friday but I just received an offer from a V5 firm I simply can't/don't want to refuse. Is there any point going to the other callbacks when I'm positive I won't be accepting? Or is too rude to cancel on them on such short notice? They've already sent me the list of attorneys I'll be meeting with/my schedule. If it would be rude to cancel, I'm willing to just go anyway... don't want to be a douche.

Advice please??

I don't think they would hold it against you if you canceled the day before or earlier.

Personally, I would call if I were canceling on such short notice, just to make sure that someone got the message. Call recruiting though.

Yes, this was the best plan. No one has time to waste interviewing someone who is going to another firm. Trust me, they will find other things to fill that time and not give it a second thought. Congrats on your offer.
