2013 Summer Offer Rates?

Postby snaggleface » Tue Dec 24, 2013 8:22 pm

Looking for 2013 summer offer rates from top firms (v15). Did a search and couldn't find any compilation of 2013 biglaw summer offer rates. Found an old 2011 TLS thread but nothing regarding this past summer. Couldn't find it on NALP or through general google research (though NALP had 2012 summer offer rates). Also, the ATL 2013 offer rate article/page is wildly unhelpful/sparse.

If you happen to have 2013 Summer offer data (or a link), could you please share?

Haha. Didn't mean it like that, it just so happens that the firm(s) I'm specifically looking for the data from are in that range.

You can try here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 3&t=213850

But I would just assume 100% unless you have good info saying otherwise

NALP Directory collects the information but they don't post it online until many months later. You probably won't see it until early next summer.

Ah, gotcha. I guess I'll just have to wait then. I'm looking for a more detailed office-by-office breakdown like NALP would offer. The nationwide offer rate for a firm doesn't seem to speak too clearly to a given market just based on what I've observed thus far from digging.

Looks like that thread got jacked by one anomalous no-offer. There's just under 10 actually responses to the offer/no-offer question there.

So basically your firm is ranked 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, or 15th, since if it was in the top 10 you would have just said v10...

I used to think the way you did, especially when someone would say T8 or something. But then I realized they were doing everyone a favor. If they just put the school (or firm) name, then you would have to look up the rank yourself. Plus, it does allow for a minimal amount of anonymity if they pick a number like 15.

This is only really a problem if you feel the compulsion to check the rank of something the moment someone posts about it.

Example: I got accepted to a T14 with a good scholarship!

TLSer: Good work!

Example: I got accepted to <T14 school I am not familiar with> with a good scholarship!

TLSer: *googles school* Good work!
