From last year's coverage on Above the Law (LinkRemoved):

ATL in 2012 wrote:Just as it did in 2011, Cravath announced on the last Monday in November. In 2010, the firm announced on November 22 — the second-to-last Monday in November, and before Thanksgiving. Back in 2009, the firm announced on November 2, the first Monday in November.

It's been getting progressively later. If they stick to Mondays, it might not be until next Monday.

That's what I'm guessing now.

Although I have an irrational (rational?) fear of getting stiffed this year.

It will be on a Monday. That's when the partners have their weekly lunch, so that's when Allen Parker will propose a bonus scale, which the partners will then vote on.

Tomorrow?

Will we at least get one year memberships to the Jelly of the Month Club?

My friend said someone in her department heard rumors of salary increases at Cravath. I told her NY to 190.

Nothing wrong with having high hopes with realistic expectations.

Same as last year is still objectively pretty generous. A 6.25% raise and a 6.25% bonus is nothing to sneeze at, not is a first-job-out-of-law-school income that puts you in the top, what, 2 to 3% of income earners?

Nationally, maybe. In preftigious markets like NYC you're still just a common plebe.

/sarcasm.

How is it realistic to expect higher bonuses in a year of (on average) declining RPL at biglaw firms?

What is the 6.25% raise? You mean in base salary? When did that happen?

When you started working at a lockstep biglaw firm.
