Is this looked down upon in BigLaw? I understand that as summers you often get taken to lunch, but as full time associates, is it ok to bring a grilled chicken stirfry so you don't put on weight but preserve gains. Is this looked down upon at V20 firms, socially that is?

V35 and up, it would seem weird. V36-V69, limit it to a couple times a week. V70 on down, you're golden.

This is a dumb question. No one cares what you will eat. You can't order a salad or recommend going to places that serve "healthy foods?"

Is this serious or another post mocking the Vault rankings? I'm a health nut and gym rat, so being able to pack a lunch without being ostracized would be a huge plus.

It's absolutely serious. I saw an associate get talked to for having tupperware in his office when a client came in for a meeting.

I assume it's too late now, but don't you think that would have been an important thing to establish before you accepted your offer? The upper echelons of the legal profession expect, at least, prestigious take-out.

I saw a guy get shown the door for buying a burrito without guac from Chipotle.

A lot of firms have their own gym or provide membership to one.

They also have their own cafes to prevent the sort of indignities that come with tupperware.

And chicken stir-fry? May as well write "peasant" on your forehead.

They take a significant amount of skill to pick one that is good. If you go to a BB or Hugo Boss, you are very, very unlikely to get a bad suit or one that doesn't flatter your body type since the store won't stock it and the salesperson will guide you in the right direction. At Jos. A. Bank, the staff neither knows whats going on nor cares how you look. Additionally, some suits are just hastily made from whatever fabric they can get cheap.

Also, Jos. A Bank sales are scams. You end up paying $400 for items that are regularly priced $1100, but are worth $350

Like, professional rodeo clown? Professional panhandler? Professional doorman? Subway Sandwich Artist?

There are plenty of occupations where it would be just fine.
