White & Case Financial Health
Posts from a year ago seemed to indicate that W&C was still on shaky financial ground, and that 2Ls with other good options should consider going elsewhere. Any updated thoughts on this issue?
On a second note - is W&C harder on new associates than your average biglaw firm in terms of hours?

Also interested in this, specifically with respect to the LA office.

I got the impression that the DC office was not doing so well.

Mind giving us something more substantive than that? As one who is leaning towards W&C's NY office, I would like some more discussion on this topic as well.Anonymous User wrote:I got the impression that the DC office was not doing so well.

I'm sorry; I'm trying not to out myself here. I got the sense that there was just not enough work for associates.

My office is doing very well - have every reason to believe NY is doing the same - have no reason to believe any other office is any different.

DC office seemed understaffed for all work it had last year when I went through; decided not to stay because people just overall seemed really frazzled in a way that's beyond just your standard 2000 billing requirement misery. Just seemed ... shaky? But that was last year, don't know what's going on this year.
