Should I Add Second in Class to Firm Profile?

Postby Anonymous User » Tue Oct 01, 2013 2:02 pm

I lost my first in class spot my 3L year and ended up second. I've noticed that those who end up #1 put that on their profile, but I've never seen anyone put #2. Should I add this to my new firm profile or just leave it alone? Thanks.

Is there an award for top X students? I saw an attorney who had XYZ Award, given to top 3 students end of 2L year, etc. I didn't think it was ridiculous at all.

"I'm #2" is dumb. Just put magna cum laude or whatever they told you and move on.

That is an absolutely terrible idea.

I've seen it done, but I wouldn't do it. (I've also seen someone put on their resume that they were top 3.5% or something ridiculous like that, which looks just as bad.)

Thanks guys. I figured as much. This is disappointing though because I was so close. :/ Oh well.
