public interest law writing sample

Post by beta » Tue Sep 03, 2013 8:03 am

question:

i have two writing samples, and i am undecided as to which one to use for the public interest job hunt. i think pi employers do actually read the samples as opposed to most firms, and thus, id like some advice on which one to use.

the one from work is not as polished as the one from legal writing, but it is substantively more interesting and shows i was able to do substantive work this summer. the one from legal writing is very polished and probably more clear.

any thoughts on which public interest employers care to see more? one from work or one from legal writing?

thanks so much in advance :)
