Cleveland/Columbus/Cincy Firms- CB's, Offers, etc.

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Aug 29, 2013 11:31 am

Post your callbacks, dings, and offers from CLE, Cbus, and Cincy firms here. Hoping we can all get an idea of what's going on as far as timelines and such. Looking for info on Baker Hostetler, Jones Day, Benesch, Calfee, Squire Sanders, Bricker & Eckler, Vorys, Porter Wright, etc., etc. Good luck everyone!

Dinged at Vorys, Jones Day, and Baker Cleveland. Word is that Baker Columbus and Cincinnati haven't made decisions yet. Nor has Bingham Greenebaum. Post any others that I am missing!

I know of someone who got a callback from Calfee this week by snail mail. Which is kind of weird I think?

In general I feel like the Ohio market moves very slow in comparison to major markets. So many firms may not be making decisions for a while.

Which sucks.

Cleveland only, dinged at Benesch, Frantz Ward, and Jones Day. I know callbacks went out for Calfee (which I can confirm went snail mail) and Ulmer. Sadly, it looks like I won't get a single callback.

Starting to feel like the OH market is insanely competitive this year.

CBs at JD, Squire, Bricker Columbus; Baker Cleveland - not all complete yet.

Odd question but did anyone get a cb through email from OH firms?

To the people that have gotten CBs in Cleveland: when did you have your screeners?

I don't remember on screeners but CBs were weeks ago.

No CBs through e-mail in OH for me.

Okay, this gives me more hope. I thought people had screeners last week and already had CBs and are getting offers.

Do you know if they are? I certainly have not received offers, but I could be the exception. Maybe I'm a terrible interviewer. Sigh.

I am just perplexed on this process. Columbus seems to be moving relatively slow. I know that is somewhat firm-dependent, but I thought CBs for several Columbus firms were not until middle of September.

Cleveland is a little faster. Cincy hiring seems to be more limited than ever this year.

I know Benesch gave CBs already. It has been radio silence for me, and it has been a week since my last screener. Most firms said CBs would be made in 1-2 weeks, so I am getting nervous.
