Any information about associate compensation at this firm? I can't find reliable current information anywhere online and it seems they've disappeared from NALP. All I've been able to find is that Vault's 2007 guide shows that first year associates were paid $120,000...

Friend just got an offer at 160k I believe. They are a really good office in LB. Really close group.

Awesome, thanks for the info! Did your friend just finish summering there is this information based on his offer for an SA position this coming summer?

First year associate salary is market. Be forewarned their offer rate is terrible.

Really? Where are you able to find this information? The Vault's 2007 guide showed 6/8 summers were given offers but I was hoping that wasn't the norm...

I had CB with the SF office last year. I was told that neither of the 2 summers they brought in were offered.

Ugh. I really enjoyed everything about that office but that's horrible.

Things may have changed, but if they offer you an SA position I'd make sure you ask about their offer rate.

Heard from a friend that a summer was possibly no offered or close to it in their LB office...is this true? Getting a little worried.

Yikes, I had my cb already and, if given an offer, was very likely to accept. This is making me really think twice.

A friend of mine was no offered for their SF office last summer. I cannot imagine it's due to his/her work product (incredibly smart) or personality (friendly, outgoing, easy to work with). They are a small firm.

Apparently the LB office is a really tight knit group. They all enjoy each other very much and hang out more than you would expect. Which makes sense then. If you don't fit extremely well you might not get an offer.

They focus on this a lot it seems for their CBs. They brought in all the candidates from my school on the same day.

I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but supposing they extend me an offer, how do I ask about offer rate(s) politely?

It's pretty obvious that they regularly no-offer their summers, so before you accept their offer make sure you're comfortable with having to earn a permanent offer.

I've interviewed with firms that had less then exemplary offer rates, but during the interview at those firms it was still clear that they're intention was to hire you as an permanent associate. That was not the case at KYL.

I wouldn't accept their offer unless I had no other options.

Well, no matter where I go, I'm comfortable with having to "earn" my permanent offer. I don't think I am entitled to a permanent offer and I don't think anyone should feel that way. However, even though I really liked what I saw of this firm and would love to earn a permanent offer there, I'd rather not take chances with my future ITE.

Bump. It has been about three weeks for me and I haven't heard back one way or the other. Has anyone heard anything or know of anyone who has? Specifically referring to the SF office...
