Jenner NY

Anyone work here/ summer here/ can provide some info?

Is Jenner well respected in NY? Are exit options good? Are hours any better than other NY BigLaw? Would it be sensible to choose the NY office over a higher Vault ranked NY based firm because of culture/fit/pro-bono emphasis?

Former Jenner SA at another office. The NY office is great, people are awesome, it's reportedly about as humane as NY biglaw gets, and they get really sophisticated entertainment/media/soft IP work (as well as some other stuff). You will probably get to do more substantive work early in your career there (both because of the small size of the office and the way Jenner staffs cases) than you would at a larger firm, which makes you a stronger candidate for whatever your next landing spot will be. That said, it probably doesn't have the same sort of institutional connections to major clients or the US Attorney's office in the same way that a higher-ranked firm might, and those exit options may not be as plentiful. I turned down higher-ranked firms for Jenner and thought it was absolutely the right decision, but only you can know what's right for you.
