How to address T14 median grades at v10 cb?

Postby Anonymous User » Sat Aug 24, 2013 1:18 pm

First semester I pretty much did not know how to write an exam and got median grades, but then I met with my profs and figured it out, resulting in several A/A- second semester and one B-. On the day that I had the B- exam, I had a really bad headache, almost resulting in not taking the exam. I made it through the screener and luckily got one CB at a v10. Will I be asked about my grades at the CB? Does the above explanation sound like too much complaining/excuse making? I REALLY want this. Should I bring up grades (I'm guessing no)? Any explaining grade strategies that worked?

I'm at median and haven't been asked about my grades at any CB, V10 or otherwise. Haven't heard about it coming up for others either.

Plenty of people get V10 offers at median, so don't feel the need to address your grades and don't feel insecure about them. The firm knows your grades and chose to call you back.

If asked about the grades, don't mention the headache. Just say that you got the hang of exam writing by your second semester. Overall, despite the B-, I am sure your second semester GPA is a lot higher than the first, so it's a pretty plausible explanation.

^ exactly this. It probably won't come up at all, and if it does you aren't expected to have a silver-bullet answer, it's just conversation.
