That sounds interesting. Thanks for that explanation. How do you think one could go about getting better at patent law specific interviewing? It doesn't seem like your typical law school career services office would have the expertise to conduct a rigorous mock interview geared toward patent law.

I'm not sure about mock interviews -- perhaps reach out to a patent attorney who is an alumni of one or more of your schools?

The main differences for interviewing at a patent boutique are that they may ask you more technically specific questions about your experience and that they will pretty much always ask you why you want to work at a boutique vs a big firm. intelproplaw.com has some good discussions of the nuances of practice at the different types of firms.
