Need to hear a calming story
Maybe I am just noticing them more, but everyone at V5ish CBs seems to get offers under 24hrs or so.
I interviewed mid last week and just want to hear from people who received offers in this time frame. You have to exist.

Skadden took a week to extend an offer to me.
But I interviewed in two different Skadden offices (screened with two, CBed with one, got an offer to go to either) so I think they had to confer or something, Idk.

[insert comforting anecdote about my best friend's sister's dog's former owner's baby sitter 2 week wait for a CB that ended in senior partnership here]

Sullivan and Cromwell is (usually) on the spot. If they are going to give you an offer, they take you to the recruiting director's office after your last interview and give you an offer letter. Then you go to lunch with one or two associates.
I received a call from Davis Polk shortly after my call back.
I know Paul Weiss is not a "V5" but I received my offer well after 24 hours. I think it was closer to a week. No call or anything, just received the letter in the mail.
So yes, the usual trend is that top NY biglaw firms move quickly on both callbacks and offers. But there can always be unusual circumstances that could delay discussion of your file. In any case, I wouldn't worry about it.
