Has anyone gotten their schedule yet? I just realized I forgot to note a day when I can't interview and now I'm getting pretty anxious about it.

I got my schedule faxed to me today. They faxed me a place and date, but no time. I'll wait until next week to contact them if they haven't let me know what time to be there.

Do you mind sharing what component? I'm just wondering if my component hasn't issued times yet.

Thanks!

Anyone interviewing with OCIJ this week willing to share the locations listed on the regional preference form filled out at the interview? It doesn't really give a competitive edge to know ahead of time, it just helps those of us trying to weigh personal considerations on location. Thanks!!!

EOIR (OCIJ) interview on Thursday. Getting nervous. Should I bone up on some immigration related stuff, or is the interview more of a "fit"/general interpersonal skills interview?

Also, does anyone know how many interviewers there will be? (Trying to determine how many copies of things to print.)

Good luck to everyone. *gulp*

Thanks for the locations. So is no one going to post about how their interviews went or anything?

Did they ask any weird questions, or was it just routine? Do they ask substantive questions about immigration? Thanks!

I'm reluctant to give someone an advantage over me, so forgive me if my responses are nebulous ;) I'm not sure what you consider routine, but it was pretty close to what I expected and I didn't think anything reached the level of weird. I was not asked any substantive questions about immigration.

[Edit: added pronoun for clarification.]

Haha I understand, thanks! I am just hoping there aren't any questions like "name three adjectives that perfectly describe yourself" (randomly says three) "Okay great, now tell me a story that explains how you personify each one." (......) I am just scared that is going to happen again.

My interviewer just read questions off a questionnaire. A lot of clichéd interview questions, and things you'd expect, like why immigration? Don't stress, I really felt at ease with my interviewer. But obviously I have no idea how I did, I'm just really hoping I did ok. Best of luck to all; if you have more specific questions, ask away!

Did you guys write thank you notes/e-mails after your interviews? CSO told me I really should, but I feel like they are lame. My interviewer did tell me to e-mail him though if I wanted to ask him any advice or if I want to come in to watch master, so I feel like it wouldn't be weird if I sent a thank you note.

My interviewer gave me a business card without an email address - so, I'm probably not going to send a note.

I would. I think it is the professional thing to do

I just wanted to say that this wait is tough - had the shutdown not happened we'd have heard back by now. At least this is about the time finalists were being announced last year.
