Deana posted a bunch of updates to forum questions. As expected everything is going to be delayed, including HP interviews and SLIP notifications.

Which forum are ya'll referring to? The only info I've found is on the DOJ employment site, and it says that interviews would start in late October through November 8. I assume that is outdated now... Thanks!!

New updates from Deana:

1. A few more HP invitations to interview are going out ("Not a lot, but some.")

2. HP interviews will likely run from November 12 - 27.

Any news from SLIP? I know the decisions are delayed, but I haven't heard back even about interviews. When would be the appropriate time to lose hope? :x

If you were selected to interview but did not receive the e-mail before the shutdown, have you received anything today?

Just got an e-mail from DOJ - selection and scheduline for an interview with a component that was my listed 2nd choice. My status had changed before the shutdown, and I received an e-mail that I was selected by my listed 1st choice. Not sure if that means I have now been added by a second component where they originally did not select me or if the system just ate the second component's e-mail before the shutdown. The new e-mail has scheduling info, etc., and I just got a similar scheduling e-mail from my first choice component. Hopefully, components are adding more interviewees, so good luck to all.

Also got an email just now, from my first choice component. Hadn't received an email before shutdown, but status was selected for interview the whole time. Good luck to everyone.

Anyone not get the email today? I didn't (status reads selected for interview), but if other people are still waiting, I guess I will wait a little longer too. Otherwise I'll send an email about it.

I did not receive an email even though my status indicates I should have. I'm going to contact the folks there if I don't receive an email by mid-morning tomorrow.

EOIR is the only section I'm ranking on the application, the clerkship position my number one choice for EOIR.

* Pro bono immigration clinical experience 1L,
* Mid size immigration firm 1L/2L summers and part-time through the year (background in all types of immigration applications/benefits, now would like experience with immigration court proceedings).
* Proficient Spanish/English

Anyone also apply for DHS Honors?

Hey!

Have you heard anything from DHS?

I also applied.

Hey,

I would e-mail her tomorrow morning. Check spam (I'm sure you did already).

Got an email for EOIR today notifying me I had an interview. It says the resume, writing sample, and transcript are due Oct. 9. Uhhhh... Has anyone in the same boat gotten clarification yet? Because I am not in possession of a time machine.

For those of you interviewing with Crim, did your email specify a particular section within the division?

I had a phone interview scheduled with DHS before the shutdown, they have since rescheduled it now that the gov't is open again. I'm not sure if that means they've notified everyone though, so I would certainly keep a look-out in your e-mail (check spam too!).

What did it say? It got narrower than either Trial Division or Asset Forfeiture?

I got a call from DHS Honors today. I've heard that they did interviews over a three week period last year, but I'm not sure if they're doing it differently this time because of the shutdown.

Yes, it said that I was selected by the Criminal Division and then specified which office.
