Congrats!

Not the OP, but STB Lit is still looking. I got a call from them wanting to do an interview late last week.

Not a 3l but just wondering. For the people who have 3l offers, are y'all trading up? Or did you not do a 2l SA?

This question has bounced around a couple of times. I would say this thread is primarily comprised of people trying to "trade up." However, several people mentioned they are trading down or switching firms just for geographic/practice group reasons. I would say almost all the people getting callbacks at V20s summered somewhere else.

In my case, I did not have a SA this past summer but accepted a V15 offer a few weeks ago.

To the above poster: What school range? I am curious bc I am a 2l at UT without anything....hoping to absolutely destroy it this year in school and see if I can possibly have a chance at getting a SA during 3l. I know how difficult that is though.

A SA position the summer after 3L? That's impossible. Try to get a good internship in house, that's your best bet for the summer after 2L if you don't have a SA. And as silly as it sounds, network your ass off. Make connections. It is DEFINITELY what you know, but now more than ever, it's WHO you know. My school is ranked lower than UT, but I don't want to give my full stats.

I accepted DPW. I was trading up from a V20 firm. I go to CCN and my grades are in the 20-25% range I think.

Not really in terms of overall GPA. Although I guess on paper it could have looked better.

So DPW lit...I guess if I've heard nothing that's a bad sign then. Thanks for the update.

Well I did my CB back in August and heard back around a week after, so this is a while ago. If you did your CB recently, I don't think my offer means very much in terms of whether they're still looking for 3Ls.

I suppose, but I haven't heard of anyone actually receiving a rejection from any of these places yet.

Because you said resume drop and a lot of these other people are talking about OCI interviews. I know about those resume drops. Have you still heard nothing...

They're still conducting first-round interviews. They didn't come on to my campus, but I have a preliminary phone interview with them next Monday.
Any more movement from Cadwalader?
