W&C callbacks have most likely already all gone out. They wait until they see everyone from a school before making final decisions, so they try to get people in as quickly as possible. Given they do that, it wouldn't make sense for them to take their time on inviting people for callbacks and/or hold a wait list.

Maybe. The one reported CB on this internet messageboard was secondhand (and astonishingly early, considering the firm's process) and I would be surprised if several CBs had went out and I didn't personally know ANYONE who received them. Plus, I live in DC, haven't received a mail ding, and the reported mail ding was Thursday, which seems weird if all the dings and CBs are perfectly synchronized. Not saying I'm going to get on with W&C (I wish!), but that all hope ain't lost, brothers and sisters.

Speculation is pretty much pointless, anyway.

Previous anon here. Just to clarify, what I was saying wasn't totally speculation. I have a CB (and wasn't the previous one reported) and was told when I was scheduling that they were trying to get all of us in within the next three weeks (as in before the end of the first week of September). Also, I heard the weekend after EIW, once they had completed all GULC screeners, so the one mentioned was not really astonishingly early. Nevertheless, I don't have hard evidence that they haven't called everyone--it just seems bizarre that they'd call and say that you have to get in this coming week or the following one. I guess it still might be possible.

Cool, thanks for clarifying. The additional information makes the assertion seem much more solid: before it seemed to be based on previously-posted information and knowledge of their hiring practices. I had some late-breaking developments that could really help me with W&C, so my situation is a little odd? Still crossing my fingers. Hopefully, I'll get a call!

Have you already had your CB? Either way, good luck! It was easy to see why the firm is #1 in everything, even from just the short, in-office screening interview.

Just to add to the data, I got a call from Bracewell & Giuliani on Friday asking me to come to NY for a "first round interview." This came from the resume collect.

Anyone here from Linklaters NY? I think I saw somewhere else on this thread that somebody had received a ding...but nothing yet for me, probably a ding, too, but still hoping. Does LL NY have some sort of "waiting list"?

Linklaters NY ding via email last week. I get the sense they may have a wait list, but can't be certain.

I have a Linklaters NY callback, so given that they have sent out both and you haven't heard either way, stands to reason that they likely maintain a wait list.

Has this thread died down because no one has heard anything in the last few days? Or is it because those who cared already have offers and no longer care? Please keep posting any results you get (dings, CBs, offers), as it helps the rest of us.

Anyone get a CB from Kirkland Chicago? I've heard of one ding from Kirkland Chi via email at GULC, but personally have heard nothing from them.... assuming i'm dinged at this point.

Do you mean post-CB? If not, NY at least sent screener dings by email before OCI ended.

Got a ding from Shearman DC via snail mail. It's kind of weird because I didn't even interview with them; just dropped off my resume at their hospitality suite..

That's an expected courtesy in my opinion.
