EIW vs. OCI
Just admitted to NYU for transfer admission (yay!).
The acceptance materials talk about EIW--is this different than OCI? What is the difference?
Sorry if stupid question, my current school has OCI, but I've never heard of EIW.

Re: EIW vs. OCI
Congrats and welcome! EIW is the same as OCI. Even our Career Services office uses the terms interchangeably.xfer2013 wrote:Just admitted to NYU for transfer admission (yay!).

Okay, cool thanks.
I was half worried that transfers were being offered to participate in something different than OCI!

Re: EIW vs. OCI
EIW is the big off-campus recruiting program where all the big firms will be, and where the majority of students secure jobs. When most people on this site refer to OCI, this is NYU's equivalent. NYU actually conducts a smaller, on-campus program with a few smaller firms, and they call that OCI. Sort of confusing, but EIW is all you care about.xfer2013 wrote:Just admitted to NYU for transfer admission (yay!).

Wow, I didn't even know we had a fall OCI separate from EIW...kaiser wrote:EIW is the big off-campus recruiting program where all the big firms will be, and where the majority of students secure jobs. Re: EIW vs. OCI
Its literally a nothing program, and its just for smaller firms that would literally get no bids at EIW. I hadn't heard of a single one of the firms, and I only know like 1 or 2 people who submitted a bid, and it was because they hadn't heard back yet from the EIW firms as far as offers.OldMan2015 wrote:Wow, I didn't even know we had a fall OCI separate from EIW...kaiser wrote:EIW is the big off-campus recruiting program where all the big firms will be, and where the majority of students secure jobs.
