Letters of recommendation for summer associate positions?

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Jul 02, 2013 5:47 pm

Are letters typically required for SA positions? I went through OCI during 1L, and I can't remember a single employer that required them. But I don't know what is customary for next year.

Almost always no, but there are maybe three or four firms that require a list of references. Two that I can think of are Covington & Burling and Arnold & Porter.
