Am I being careful enough? Should I be putting more "safeties" up top?

I'm not a Penn student, but at Duke a few years ago, very little would have been out of reach with these grades. I think you can be as aggressive as you want. I wouldn't hesitate to load up on the big V-10ish firms if that's where you want to work.

Yours looks really good. I posted mine a few hours ago and have a bit lower of a GPA and am looking at about those firms (though you've got a lot more safeties than I do).

Fellow penn rising 2L here. Seems conservative in terms of grade selectiveness of firms. Are these all NYC?

I was at CLS, but I think it's close enough to be relevant. I'm assuming 3.75 is top 10%-15%. If so, you current bidlist is quite conservative. You can be more aggressive if you want.
You can basically but the V15 or so as your top 15 (assuming you think you would like them from a fit perspective).

There is no such thing as a safety firm, but your grades won't be an obstacle to getting a callback or an offer anywhere, so just bid wherever you want to work.

Penn rising 3L here. Are you targeting multiple cities? If not, this list doesn't make much sense. I can't tell if you want Magic Circle in NYC or DC
Otherwise, I'd recommend moving DPW, Simpson & S&C up in the 11-20 range, and I'd throw Wachtell in the 20-30 range where you might pick it up (unless you're completely disinterested in Wachtell's culture).
With your grades, you should have your pick of firms in NYC. DC is trickier, but I would recommend moving more selective firms up.

You have a very good chance of NOT getting Skadden at slot 3. Just an FYI. Very popular firm with only 40 spots.
