Did they take down the Kent & Stone Scholars offer percentage report? I can't find it on symplicity anymore.

So how do we deal with interviews that are only 5 minutes apart?

Do we know what room we're in? Is it just the two digit number at the end of interview room? (Assuming the other six are the date)

Pretty surprised I missed out on Paul Hastings at 7. Also missed Kaye Scholer at 12.

You'll basically just want to prep for the next interview and have it ready to go (to the extent you can). Someone will knock on your door when your time is up at your first interview. Then you'll just want to book it to your next room. If it is only a few floors away, I'd recommend taking the stairs. The elevators can be a nightmare.

I only partially missed one back-to-back interview. For whatever reason, the person behind me at my first interview did not knock. So that interview went long. And then I was about 10 minutes late to the next interview. The guy understood, but not CB there. I don't even remember what firm it was, though.

Random: I got my 3L bid results. 2 interviews. WHEWT

Thanks for this! I'd take it we shouldn't cancel any of our interviews if we're still interested in the firms, then? (I guess the worst that happens is that you're late and they don't like you, but that's just going to have the same outcome that not interviewing at all would have had)

Are you doing the 3L thing in earnest? It seems even more terrifying than the stuff we're doing right now.

Definitely don't cancel. It'll work out fine in most situations. Or you may be a minute or two late, but most interviewers won't care. The whole thing is a clusterfuck, and everybody knows it. Most people are very understanding.

And I'm not doing the 3L thing in earnest. I just did it because my firm hasn't given us offers yet (and I may not hear before EIP). My hands are tied. Meh.

Thanks for the advice. We'll hope that you'll get your offer and will be able to cancel/not worry about this EIP stuff.

Anyone know if there is a way to view who the interviewer is? I was able to swipe a name or two when adding firms today, but it doesn't look like they are viewable after the add.

If the firms have listed their interviewers, you should be able to see when you click on your scheduled interview date.
I noticed that a lot of them (for me at least) aren't listed.

If I remember right, those will often be updated in Symplicity as EIP gets closer. Along with room numbers.

Also, inevitably, some interviewers will not be the ones you prepped for.

Oh, and many firms will place a printed bio of the person you are interviewing outside of the door (so you can glance at it while you wait for the interviewer before you to finish).

There are a couple of firms that I wanted to interview with but didn't get in my original list and was quick enough to add yesterday when add/drop opened. Should I still mass mail them or do the firms at OCI only interview Columbia students through OCI?

My friends have found success e-mailing HR and just telling them that they really want a screener so you should do that. Alternatively, go to their hospitality suites and ask for an interview. That works every year.

Is there a template for a references sheet anywhere on the Columbia Law website? Thanks in advance.

EIP site --> Professional Development --> Resources --> Application Materials

The last thing listed on JD Cover Letter and Resumes

Hey all, I'm a CLS alum doing interviews at EIP tomorrow. Just wanted to pop in and say good luck! I hope the process hasn't been too terrible so far. If any of you are looking at firms in DC, we may cross paths.

Any thoughts on bringing a small briefcase or bag or something into interviews? Weird at all or just doesn't matter?

I wouldn’t personally. I had a backpack with me and left it in the hallway last year. Brought in my pad folio with my necessary documents and nothing else.

Not to start this talk early... but does anyone know when the first callbacks come out after tomorrow? Thursday night? or Friday daytime?

From past years, it seems like it starts immediately Thursday night and then continues nonstop the rest of the month.

Is it just me or was that not that bad at all?

(Of course maybe it was bad and I just didn't notice it and I won't get any callbacks. We'll see I guess.)
