I am still considering, but I am leaning toward another firm. I will be making my decision one way or other in the next few days, though.Anonymous User wrote:Congrats, any idea whether you'll accept?Anonymous User wrote:Hughes Hubbard New York office offer. I did my CB earlier this week.

I would start just sending your resume and grades to every firm that you didn't have an interview with this summer. They're still hiring so you need to do it this weekend. It's not too late yet.Anonymous User wrote:Gonna start now. Any tips?Anonymous User wrote:I'm so sorry.Anonymous User wrote:High Stone and officially struck out!

Some of these firms may get a lower yield than they're expecting and then getting someone like you with great grades is definitely something they would be happy with.
Before you do any more interviews though, definitely do a mock interview with an alum and get substantive comments about what's going wrong. Force Career Services to set this up.

Wouldn't it be better to send your materials out on Tuesday after Labor Day, as opposed to letting it get buried in the weekend pile when everybody is on vacation?Anonymous User wrote:I would start just sending your resume and grades to every firm that you didn't have an interview with this summer. I mean, that's fine but get it ready this weekend so all you have to do Tuesday is push the "send" button on all of them. Delaying it any further would not be good.Anonymous User wrote:Wouldn't it be better to send your materials out on Tuesday after Labor Day, as opposed to letting it get buried in the weekend pile when everybody is on vacation?Anonymous User wrote:I would start just sending your resume and grades to every firm that you didn't have an interview with this summer. I think they're going to be in a pile either way. I think volume is the key right now, and you can get more out the earlier you start.Anonymous User wrote:Wouldn't it be better to send your materials out on Tuesday after Labor Day, as opposed to letting it get buried in the weekend pile when everybody is on vacation?Anonymous User wrote:I would start just sending your resume and grades to every firm that you didn't have an interview with this summer. Sorry to hear it. Low Stone here, 2 CBs and no offers yet. Just got Cadwalader ding in the mail. Seems like people either get all the CBs and offers, or very few. Doesn't seem fair, but hopefully that means there are some low yields that lead to late hiring...Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:Sorry to hear that. This. I know of a good number of people with 5+ offers within V20. I also know people with no offers anywhere.Anonymous User wrote:Sorry to hear it. Low Stone here, 2 CBs and no offers yet. To the OP High Stone who struck out --- were you looking at more difficult markets (i.e. DC/Chi/LA)? If you were looking in NYC and by High Stone you mean 3.65+ (which would make sense because Stone is between 3.4 and 3.8 ), that's terrifying. You should go to career services and raise hell.

How exactly is it career services' fault? What he should actually do is go to career services, be incredibly nice, and try to get a lot of interviewing/firm contact help from them. It shouldn't be that hard for them to place a high Stone student at firm at this point.Anonymous User wrote:You should go to career services and raise hell.
"Raising hell" will just reduce his chances of actually getting a position. Don't do that.

Same, two weeks ago as of tomorrow...Anonymous User wrote:I hate to ask the same question over again, but has anyone received an offer from Paul Hastings NY yet?
From what I understand, PH finished doing all of their super interview days by now, right?
I am getting a bit antsy waiting to hear back...

Has anyone not heard from all firms post-EIP yet? I interviewed with one on the last day of EIP, then applied to their diversity scholarship a few days later so I'm wondering if that's why I haven't heard in 3 weeks...

Any idea what % of people have jobs so far, or how this year is going relative to the year before?

Re: Columbia Law School EIP 2013
I don't think we'll truly know until Spring semester when they tell the 1L's about EIP. Anecdotally, I would say out of the 20 or so people I see regularly, maybe 4 or 5 are still looking, but obviousuly every sample will be different.Anonymous User wrote:Any idea what % of people have jobs so far, or how this year is going relative to the year before?
