How are things going for people?

Curious if most people have something lined up at this point. Do people think the market is better this year?

One of my friends did mass mailing after OCI, got a CB from the MM, went to the interview last week and received an offer on the same day. It's a D.C. job.

Therefore, it is still possible for us to work hard and grab some of the remaining opportunities. It is the 4th quarter already. But we still have some time left. Make full use of it.

I got a snail mail rejection from them a while ago. Also got one from Wiltshire Grannis.

I'm at median/no W/E with nothing so far. I did get one interview from a post-OGI Symplicity post. Also a lot of rejections from mass mailing.

Have a friend that accepted his offer a couple weeks ago and another that declined his offer this week.

3.4x, struck out literally everywhere that I've interviewed, be it Symplicity, Mass Mail, Pre-OGI, or OGI. OCS hasn't had any real advice for me in my mocks— I did like five pre-OGI and two or three after. Any suggestions? Or any 3Ls who have advice about what to do? Do I have the worst luck in history?

I know at least two 3.6X's who were still interviewing at least as of a week or two ago. so take heart in some people having worse luck, I guess.

People who struggle are much quieter about the process, it happens every year. There is a lot of luck involved, as well as a lot of unchangeable circumstance (background/work experience/etc. matters and you can't do a lick about it at this point). Just keep looking - all you need is one offer, I have friends working at big law firms now who didn't get an offer until a mailing this late in the game when we were law students.

My experience was that once you're struggling and it looks bleak, career services also starts to talk about how it's late to mass mail already, that you should give thought to dropping out, trying again next year, etc. The important thing is to keep fighting once you look like you might be a statistical liability, and start relying on yourself.

Any good news from people who were waiting for offers? I know things are pretty much downhill from here but I can't lose hope just yet.
