Will we usually hear one way or another with a screener? I havent heard anything from anyone while others have heard from some places I interviewed with. Just wondering if we will get a rejection email, or if you dont hear you just assume a ding.

If you don't hear anything, you should assume that you're still in the running. If others have received CBs and/or dings from a particular firm but you haven't heard anything, the firm may be holding you on a waitlist while they see how things play out. Or, they might have made a decision but have not gotten to notifying you yet because making calls/sending emails takes time and they have other things to do.

I interviewed today at GDC for their NYC office. I was told that they would be meeting after the interviews, and would have an answer for by the end of the week.

So, I assume that means that not getting a dinner invite doesn't mean you are screwed. However, that could just be for NYC and not DC. Not sure.

4L here, at least for the NY office the GDC dinner does not mean that you will be receiving a callback, likewise not getting invited doesn't mean your dinged. Though the odds of both increase dramatically depending in whether you we're invited.
