No ties, below median at low T14, 25 bids, 1 preselect and 0 alternates. One of the better firms from the list I bid on, so pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Hoping to snag another via the lottery.

Do you mind sharing how far below median and which preselect? And if you have a science/tch or IP/Patent background?

A new announcement says "the lottery selection process (25% of each schedule) will be activated on Monday, July 8." It sounds like the lottery slots have not been given out yet.

The alternate sign-up happens on July 9, and I'm guessing that's when all the declined preselect slots will be given out to the alternates.

Median at MVP. 25 Bids, 1 preselect (DLA Piper) so far, 0 alternates. Not going for IP, but I have worked at a couple of tech startups.

Bottom 35-45% I think. Rather not share which firm because it'd expose me come law fair ( ) but it's a market-paying, large international firm. No tech background whatsoever.

So even if it says "not invited" now, there's a possibility I might get a pre-select later? Or have they made up their minds to reject me, just haven't decided about others -__-

This is how I feel too. I wish they told us whether or not they've given us a final decision. Like "Undecided" or "Under Review" or something.

Is there anyone here who have attended last year and be able to tell us how many, if at all, lottery spots people end up getting? I see how there's a real good possibility one would get none. For people with 1 alt 0 pre-select, not sure if worth going...

I think unless the firm hasn't released decisions yet, not selected means you were rejected, unfortunately. You still might be able to get some of your top bids at lottery, though.

Can anyone who got preselects from Weil/whichever firm released late confirm this?

I don't know what exactly to confirm. I can tell you that I got a Weil pre-select about the same time that Weil was crossed off the list of firms that hadn't submitted yet. Before that it said "not invited."

I'm generally looking at firms that let you try both, this particular office appears to focus on litigation.

Thanks guys, I'm excited. More relieved (for OCI and stuff), too!

Since it's after 5, should we assume that's all for today and the rest of the firms will post tomorrow? Anyone know how it's worked in the past when there were late postings?

For those with 1-2 interviews, are you going to fly out to SF?
