Politically-connected law firms

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Mar 22, 2013 1:34 pm

Which firms in the major markets tend to have the greatest political connections?

In DC (which is in a league of its own in this regard, for obvious reasons) it seems to be WilmerHale and Covington.

In SF, it seems to be MoFo and Orrick.

In LA it is Munger? O'Melveny?

How about other markets? I am thinking of firms that produce the US Attorney, Ambassadors, high-level advisors.

Democrats seem to enjoy DLA Piper (George Mitchell, Tom Daschle, etc.).

Perkins Coie is known for being tightly connected to the Democrats, even in smaller markets like Phoenix.
